A number of gardens near the village green at Church End are normally open for visitors during the village's annual Fête, with donations going to nominated Fête charities and the Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity.

Sadly, with the cancellation of the Fête due to Covid-19 restrictions this year, garden hosts are not able to welcome visitors.

However, they are still very keen to help raise funds for the Hospice and have kindly allowed the Haddenham Village Society to create virtual walking tours of their gardens, for everyone to enjoy.

These virtual garden tours have been captured on video and uploaded to Youtube, so that they can be enjoyed by visitors from the comfort of their own homes and without any social distancing issues to overcome!

Some may not even need to get up from their sofa, in fact, as many smart TVs are now capable of showing Youtube videos. If you have this facility on your TV or streaming device, simply open the Youtube App and search for 'Haddenham Village Society'

Making a Donation

In order to achieve the fundraising objectives of this project, we invite you to make a donation to the Hospice Charity, please.

The open gardens on Fête day would normally raise in the order of £500 and so our target is to exceed that figure for the virtual tours. Please give generously!

The best way to make a donation is via the JustGiving page set up specifically for this.

Thank you in anticipation of your kind donation.

Garden Tours:

There are eleven fabulous gardens to enjoy. Reflecting their individual styles and diverse range of sizes, the duration of each virtual tour varies from approximately six minutes to fifteen minutes. Each has a musical accompaniment, which you can mute if you so choose, of course – but we suggest that you leave the sound on initially.

The garden hosts are:

Carolyn & David Hollick – Manor Farm

Teresa & Dan Roberts – Flint Street

Chris & Robyn Thorogood – Flint Street

Margaret Walshe – Flint Street

Mary & Chris Wellby – Church End

Roz & Toby Owens – Station Road

Ros Welch – Flint Street

Jane & Bruce James – Dragontail

Lizzie & David Banister – Manor Farm

Janet Robinson – Station Road

Cynthia & Roderick Floud – Flint Street
