Good afternoon everyone,
I hope you're all well. I wondered if anyone in this group might be able to help.
I am the Activities Lead at Haddenham Park Care Home, and we are looking for a local singer who would be willing to come along and entertain our residents. We have a wonderful group of residents who are particularly fond of classical and operatic music, so someone with that style would be ideal.
If you have an hour to spare one afternoon and would be interested in performing, I would love to hear from you. Please send me an email, and we can have a chat about the opportunity.
Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you!
I have found a pair of child’s prescription glasses outside the Scout & Guide Centre. If you wish to claim them, please ring 01844 290788.
Found in the middle of Churchway Saturday morning 6 June. This much loved gray and white long legged plush zebra may have been dropped from pram. Please contact 07795 510505 if you have lost it.
Looking for a handy man / gutter , roof specialist to carry out a simple roof task
There's some turned over land along the side of of the path on Aston Road running from the St Mary's School to the Grove. If anyone has some bulbs spare I think it'd be a good opportunity to make it quite pretty.
Why do dog owners not pick up their dogs mess , its not an attractive site to see dogs mess on pavements where members of the public walk .
Recently I had to clean up afterwards in the High Street . Its no excuse not to carry bags for the purpose of collecting and binning in the bins provided .
Could the parish council place more dog bins or more signage for reminders to dog owners .
Hi, I am a vicar at St Mary’s Church Haddenham and I found a Nat West Debit card in the church yard today (Good Friday). I would like to find its owner. Thanks.
I wonder if anyone recalls Dr. Chalmers Fairweather, his wife Vera and their three children Elizabeth, John and Lyall. Cham, as he was known in the family, was a GP in Haddenham for, I believe, some time in the 1940s until they retired to live near the Cathedral in Ely, probably in the late 1950s.early 1960s My name is John Duffus, I was born in Aberdeen back in 1946 and Vera's first husband Lyall Duffus was my uncle, although sadly he died in a motor accident long before I was born. One of my middle names is Lyall. I m also a relative of Cham. My grandfather was the GP in the small town of Auchenblae about 25 miles from Aberdeen. After his death aged 69 in 1928, Cham who had been born in Laurencekirk only some ten miles away took over his practice. When Lyall was killed in 1935, Cham more or less felt it his duty to look after Lyall's family. Eventually he and Vera got married and then moved south. I shall be most grateful if any reader has any interesting stories about their time in Haddenham. Many thanks in advance. John Duffus

This is a message to Richard Barber about asking for a motorcyclist to accompany him on rides. I am about the same age and would love to have someone like him to ride with. If I can have an email address for him or telephone number I could contact him. Or if my email address could be given to him he can email me. I'm not sure how this works.
