Road Works Signs

We have been notified by Transport for Bucks that road resurfacing work is due to be carried out in High Street, beginning Friday 30th June. Here's the official notice.

Highway Maintenance Road Treatment Works:
High Street, Haddenham

Transport for Buckinghamshire will be undertaking highway maintenance road treatment works to the carriageway at High Street, Haddenham from Banks Road to Townside as part of their Capital Road Investment Programme. This work is being undertaken to improve the condition of the road in order to prolong its life, and will be carried out in two phases.

The surface dressing preparatory works here are scheduled to take place from Friday 30th June 2017 and it is anticipated they will take up to 5 days to complete.

Actual surface dressing dates have yet to be confirmed, however we anticipate this will be completed by the end of August and reinstatement of road markings completed by the end of September.

This work will be carried out utilising a daytime closure that will be in operation between 07:00 and 19:00hrs. Information signs will be erected on site prior to the commencement of the works, giving the actual dates and durations.

You will appreciate that works of this nature are extremely weather dependant and therefore may be subject to disruption due to inclement weather. If the works are delayed due to weather or any other unforeseen circumstances, the advance information signs on site will be updated to reflect any change in dates.

Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents, although there may be some delay as the road treatment works pass your property, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. It is vital that we ask that whilst works are being undertaken that vehicles are not parked on the road and/or footway, as this would obviously cause an obstruction and prevent the necessary works from being carried out in their entirety.

Further information about this work can be found on Transport for Buckinghamshire's Service Information Centre at http://www.buckscc.gov.uk/transport or alternatively you can call 01296 382416 and one of my colleagues will be able to pass your enquiry through to me.
